Cell density of pico and nano-phytoplankton , as well as heterotrophic bacterioplankton and viruses are analysed with the Flow Cytometer. Cell abundances of microphytoplankton and microzooplankton are analysed with the FlowCAM. Cell death and cell viability, intracellular pH and cellular accumulation of oxidative stress are also quantified by flow cytometry by using specific fluorescent probes.
